George Ramell/Owner George started out working at Kimberly Clark in Niagara Falls, NY as a Millwright Apprentice. After spending 1971 as a US Army Infantryman in the jungles of Viet Nam, George returned and finished his apprenticeship at Kimberly Clark. In 1980 George moved to Rochester to work at Eastman Kodak Company as an Automated Equipment Mechanic. Near the end of his nearly 25 years at Kodak George was a Server Administrator, PC Desktop Repairman and finally worked at the PC Help Desk at Kodak Office. At the end of 2005 when Kodak and George decided to go their separate ways, George took advantage of the training allowance and Graduated from the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming School in Henrietta. After graduation he worked side by side with his daughter Nicole, who started the Doggie Salon at 1906 Penfield Road in 1999, until she decided to start growing her family. In 2007 shortly after George took ownership of the business it was moved from Penfield Road to its current location at 2115 Five Mile Line Road and has expanded to include three additional groomers. |
